Spider-Man was created in 1963 by the writer Stan Lee, with artwork by Steve Ditko. The character has since become one of the most popular and enduring superheroes of all time.

The visualisations in this project analyse the colours of every cover of ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ since its first issue, with each cover represented by a set of seven swatches.
